Peggy Counce Nace,
Financial Secretary

Peggy has over 25 years experience working in United Methodist Church offices in the Memphis Conference. She has had the privilege of serving NSUMC for 11 years in the business office. She views her position as a ministry to the church and the duties of financial organization as a spiritual gift. Peggy receives all contributions to the church and posts all the gifts and mails the statements quarterly.

She disburses all money for payables and tracks such back to the budget line items or the fund accounts. She also prepares the payroll for all departments on campus and also prepares all quarterly and annual reports for the IRS. We are blessed at NS to have a very active Finance Committee who have set strict guide lines for receiving and disbursing of church monies.

Peggy also serves as Membership Secretary for NS. She accurately keeps the church roll updated and writes other churches for membership transfers; prepare our transfers and prepare District and Conference reports concerning membership. In addition to keeping the paper roll, as dictated by the Discipline, she has updated the church roll on computer. Annual membership audits are much less time consuming with accurate computer records.

Peggy is married to Larry Nace, whom she met while they were students at Lambuth U. Yes, at one time she could jump and flip, when she was Lambuth cheerleader. Now, Peggy just sits and watches! Larry is a retired Air Force officer. They enjoyed his active duty years, making twenty-one moves. They enjoyed each place they have lived and made good friends in all of them. Peggy and Larry have one daughter, two sons, three grandsons, and two granddaughters. She has been blessed with a lot of good times, but being a grandmother is the greatest time yet!
